Men Who Can't Skate

'Men Who Can't Skate' is a fundraising event held each year by the MBA hockey clubs at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. The event pits the Women's MBA Hockey Team against 16 unfortunate men who, you guessed it - can't skate. Somehow, I was selected by my peers (actually, I was bid on by my peers) to be one of those unfortunate men tasked to take on the Women's MBA Hockey Team on the ice this evening.

Now, the MBA Women's team is good but not stellar... in fact, most of the girls have just recently taken up the sport. But the 'Men Who Can't Skate' Team was even worse. In fact, we were pathetic. Still, we managed to make the game exciting even if we weren't able to stay up on our skates. We also started a bench clearing brawl which allowed us to take out our frustration on the women.

In the end, the women's team eked out a 5-4 victory and miraculously, no one was hurt too badly. Even so, it will probably be the last time I get on the ice until I actually learn how to skate.
