Well, I wasn't exactly the "big" winner at this evening's corporate presentation - but hey, I was pretty darn close; and for that I won't complain. Most companies that come to campus for recruiting presentations also offer special "incentives" to ensure they get a decent turnout. Microsoft's turnout was phenomenal this evening.
At the end of the presentation they gave away about 10 copies each of Office and Money 2006, as well as the new Digital Image Suite 2006. The real prizes game at the end. The 'pre-shipped' x-box 360 was the grand prize, but the lesser coveted Canon PowerShot SD20 was the prize I was drooling over. After all, I still haven't actually purchased a digital camera! Well, fate was with me this evening. My name was drawn from the hat and I received, the brand new 5.0 mega pixel camera, a copy of Digital Image Suite 2006, an extra battery, a camera case, and a 256MB memory card. Awesome. Thank you, Microsoft. Please expect a proliferation of digital images on my blog from this point forth!
