I flew out to Seattle, WA on Wednesday for two days of interviews with Microsoft. I was fortunate enough to acquaint myself with the sunny side of the city over the summer, because this was a much different Seattle than I had previously experienced. It was gloomy and gray - which isn't really too far from what I expect Seattle to be.
The purpose of my visit - to secure an offer in one of three business units. I interviewed with Windows, IWPMG (Office), and BMO (Business & Marketing Organization). For everything I had heard about Microsoft interviews, these were relatively painless. They felt more like intellectual conversations than interviews.
During my visit, I was also able to take in some sights. One of the highlights of my visit was the "Experience Music Project Live" - an interactive museum of sorts, backed by Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen. Very cool. Now I just need to sit back and wait to see if I get an offer...
EMP

That's the EMP museum at the base of the Space Needle.
Guitart

This display was in EMP. It is a huge collage of musical instruments. Pretty cool.
Strange Art

This artwork was in teh lobby of the IWPMG building at Microsoft.

Posted on the walls (inside the glass doors) in the Windows Business Group.
Familiar Logo

The Windows logo, in the Windows building.
Tall Trees

For some reason, tall, wet trees and gray skies are thigns that come to mind when I think of Seattle.
Needle at Night

I had to take a picture of the Space Needle at night. A luminated spire.
Other weird pictures I took on the plane...
