Christmas break is underway, and the entire family has reconvened this year in Vero Beach, FLA. This year we decided to skirt the usual (and usually disappointing) tradition of chartering a river fishing boat in place of the real deal. This year we chartered the "Floridian", a boat captained by billfish tourney extraordinaire, Glenn Cameron. Glenn is well known in the area (and indeed in some circles of angler America) for his uncanny ability to track the billfish. Glenn was definitely on top of his game this day. We ended up hooking and reeling in a total of 6 sailfish, 1 dolphin, 1 mackerel, and a few other various phylum. The total count for billfish was Jake (3), Luke (3), and Dad (0). *Dad took a double dose of Dramamine which wiped him out for the entire trip. He enjoyed a nice day-long nap during the action...
